Qusetion on the SCC solo
i just read up on the superb charr carving solo build. i loaded it up and took it out ofr a spin. it works as advertised but for one thing, Troll unnnnggggent. (god i hate that skill name) anyways they fire away takin damage from SS BUT they use heals... am i missin something here?

isnt YMLaD a touch skill? or is it a ranged attack? either way the build is the typical peek-a-boo build. You round up the charr and put something large between you and them and then spam SS. The charr fire away without effect due to the enviro block you stuck between you and the charr.
The build in question is the one posted in the Ranger farming sticky. i learned long ago, DO NOT POST until you have covered your bases. so i tried it and all that good stuff, and as i said it works like a dream EXCEPT they dont die. lol. makes for one hell of a stalemate i tellz ya. i was thinkin maybe the nerf bat took a beatin to this build?? if not maybe one of you build freakniks could tell me how to overcome this little dilemma. The farming build the OP is talking about can be found here:
http://guildwars.incgamers.com/showthread.php?t=464621 As for dealing with the healing of the charr rangers, the only thing on that build I see that would do much to them is Necrosis. Have as high a SS rank as possible... at rank 10 Necrosis does 90 armor ignoring damage, which should be enough to cancel out the healing of Troll Ungent in that time. So I'd say keep SS on them and spam away with Necrosis til they die. Good hunting! |
